Writing software, and — as usual — spending a good share of the time making sure I’m solving the right problem before I rush to solve it.
Learning
Continuous learning is the job, not a side quest. I keep a running list of things I want to understand more deeply and chip away at it.
Asking better questions
The habit I’m most deliberate about: digging past the first framing of a problem to the one underneath it. There’s almost always a better question waiting.
